How often do we breed our females?
We will breed our females up to five times (litters) as long as they stay healthy, take care of their pups and most of all produce as good or better than themselves.
At what age do we let our puppies go to their new homes?
They can leave at 9 weeks of age. We feel this is the best age as they will have 2 shots and be up to date on all de-worming. They have been very well socialized and are happy little babies.
Why do our females have to deliver by C-section?
French Bulldogs heads are so large in comparison to their body and therefore can’t deliver naturally. Yes, there have been some French Bulldogs who deliver naturally but this is very rare and not recommended.
What do we feed our French Bulldog Adults and Puppies?
We feed our adults Taste of the Wild (Lamb) and our puppies eat either Nutri Source or Diamond Small breed puppy until they are able to eat the larger TOTW kibble. We also give them Baked Chicken, Mountain High Original Yogurt and white rice.
Do we prefer males or females?
Both males and females are equally nice and very loyal.
What you will need when you bring your new puppy home?
Your puppy is sent home with a bag of food so you don't have to worry about trying to find where to purchase it right of way.
We litter box train our puppies and use Wood Burning Fuel pellets purchased at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes etc. In the summer when these pellets aren't available we purchase Pine Stall pellets from our local Feed Store. You can estimate how much you use every month and store some for the months these stores won't have them.
You should buy a medium dog crate so your puppy can grow into it. We also recommend and X-Pen 24", 36'' or 48" tall as your puppy will love to have a place of their own.
Toys, toys and more toys. Puppies love their toys and you can never have to many toys for them.
Bones:
We recommend Cow hooves, Knuckle bones, knee caps and raw bones from the grocery store.
Never ever give your puppies Greenies as they can splinter in their tummys! We also don't recommend giving your puppies rawhide as they can cause a blockage.
Potty training:
We start litter-box training our puppies at 4 weeks of age so when they are ready to go home most of the hard work is already done for you. You can either keep the litter-box or put it outside and they will learn to go outside but if they have an accident in the house it's nice to have the litter-box on hand. |
